PROVISIONAL SALARY PERIOD FOR TEACHER- ASSAM GOVT

Whereas, Education Department has appointed more than 15000 (fifteen thousand teacher) in both Secondary and Elementary Education Departments.

whereas, the stipulated time of six months of provisional salary of these newly appointed teachers have elapsed.

whereas, large number of proposals for release of first salary are still in the pipeline in Education Departments 

Whereas, now vide notification No. FSI 72/2017/pt/ 17 Dated. 26th August, 2021, the Administrative Departments are empowered to release the first salary to the newly appointed Government employees of their respective Departments;

Whereas, Education Department has made a request to extend the period of provisional salary for further period of six months in order to facilitate the release of first salary;

Therefore, in larger public interest and in order to ensure timely release of first salary to the incumbents, the period of release of Provisional Salary to these newly appointed teachers of Elementary and Secondary Education is hereby extended for further period of six months beyond the first period of six months. Treasury Officers are directed to comply with this notification and to release the salary of these newly appointed teachers for a further period of six months.

This is a one-time arrangement made due to administrative exigency and will not be cited as a precedent in future. This order will come into force with immediate effect.
