Eligibility Criteria for IAF Recruitment
# Age
1) Flying Branch. Least 20 years and greatest 24 years as on 01 July 2022 . brought into the world between 02-07-1998 to 01-07-2002 (the two dates comprehensive). Upper age limit relaxable as long as long term for competitors holding legitimate and current Commercial Pilot License gave by DGCA (India) is for example brought into the world between 02-07-1996 to 01-07-2002 (the two dates comprehensive)
2) Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches. Least 20 years and greatest 26 years as on 01-07-2022 for example brought into the world between 02-07-1996 to 01-07-2002 (the two dates comprehensive).

Qualification: Flying Branch
a) Minimum of half denotes each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level.
b) Graduates (3 Year Course) in any control from a perceived University who have gotten least 60% imprints or same OR BE/B Tech (4 Year Course) from a perceived college who have gotten least 60% imprints or same.
c) Cleared Section An and B assessment of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a perceived University least of 60% imprints or same.
d) Final Year understudies are likewise qualified to apply, if they don't have any overabundance at the hour of AFSB Testing and produce Degree authentication gave by the University according to the date specified in the promotion.
Qualification: Ground Duty Technical Branch
1) AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING COURSE
a) After culmination of Engineering certificate or while in your last year/semester of Engineering
b) For both Men and Women. SSC (For women and men)/ Permanent Commission (for men)
c) Marks - Must have scored a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in any one of the listed disciplines.
d) Final year students are eligible to apply. they do not have any present backlog at the time of SSB testing and they provide provisional/ original degree issued by the University as per the date specify in the advertisement.
e) Advertisement Schedule - Advertisements are released by the IAF for AFCAT in the months of June and December.
2) AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING COURSE
a) Depending upon your stream of Engineering, you could join one of the sub branches of the Technical branch. Check the qualification required for the sub branches.
Qualification: Ground Duty Non-Technical Branch
a) ADMINISTRATION BRANCH: Graduate Degree (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognised university with 60% marks or equivalent or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised university secured 60% marks or equivalent.
b) ACCOUNTS BRANCH: B.Com degree (minimum three year degree course) from a recognised university with a minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
c) LOGISTICS BRANCH: Graduate Degree (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognised university with 60% marks or equivalent or cleared section A & B examination of Partner Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a perceived college got of 60% imprints or same.
d) EDUCATION BRANCH: i) Passed 10+2 or Post-Graduation with 50% in any discipline including integrated courses offering PG and with 60% marks in Graduation in any discipline
ii) (single degree without permission to exit and lateral entry)integrated courses, the minimum duration must be as per prevailing UGC guidelines with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.
e) BRANCH OF METEOROLOGY : Post Graduation Degree in any science stream/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Geography/ Computer Applications/ Environmental Science/ Applied Physics/ Oceanography/ Agricultural Meteorology/ Ecology & Environment/ Geo-physics/ Environmental Biology. All candidates should have secured a minimum 50% marks in aggregate in all papers of Post Graduation put together (provided Maths & Physics were studied at Graduation level with a minimum secured of 55% marks in both).
#PAY: Pay on Commissioning (As per 7th CPC)
# Training: From 1st week of July 2022 for all courses training will commence at Air Force Academy Dundigal (Hyderabad). At Air Force Academy Dundigal (Hyderabad). The duration of training for Flying and Ground (Technical) Duty is 74 weeks & that of Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches is 52 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments. At the time of joining Air Force Academy account in Nationalised or SBI Bank and PAN Card a is mandatory . Aadhaar Card is mandatory for registration.
# Fees: Online testing to be conducted for AFCAT entry at various centers. Candidates registering for AFCAT entry will have to be pay an amount of Rs. 250/- (non-refundable) as examination fee. Fees for NCC Special entry and Meteorology need not required to pay registration fees. Details of conduct of exam mode, examination centers and mode of payment are available in the detail notification.
# Marital Status: Candidates must be unmarried 25 years below of age at the time of starting of the course. Widowers, Widows and divorcees age below 25 years are not eligible
