Assam Police To be Recruit 35000 Police Personnel in Assam
Assam Police 10 new commando battalions will be set up in the Assam soon. This regard,
Assam Police is also going to be newly recruit 12,000 commando and 23,000 civil police. This was announced
today by DGP of Assam Police Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta.
DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta Mahanta said, in a meeting with Chief Minister Dr.
Himanta Biswa Sharma, various interior issues including crime special branch
administration, control measures, expeditious investigation, maintenance of law
and order in the Assam were discussed. We are going to ahead with radical
reforms in the special branch (Assam Police) because of chief minister Dr
Sharma's dream of decorating assam state police in a new form. ”
DGP Mahanta also said that the new commando
battalions will be set up in some special areas of the state of Assam through
which the geographic probity of Assam or the threat to India can be hold off
It may recalled today, in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma, in the important meeting was held in Kaziranga with the DGP, ADGP chief and superintendents of police.
