HS FINAL RESULT, 2021 (AHSEC) - CHECK MARKS EVALUATION FORMULA
It is for information of all concerned that as per report of the alternative method Committee for evaluation of marks of the Higher Secondary Final Examination, 2021 and subsequent approval by the Govt. of Assam the following criteria for evaluation are to be adopted.
(1) The assessment of the students for various Streams be categorized as student having practical subject (Science / Arts) and with no practical subject (Arts / Commerce). Further, the structure of the Vocational Stream is also scrutinized and suggestions are therefore made in the following way.
(a) For assessment of students of Science and Arts Streams with practical subject be assessed with
*50 marks calculated from 50 % marks secured by the student in the best three of the subjects in the HSLC or equivalent examination.
*30 (Thirty) marks be calculated from the marks obtained by the students on the basis of the practical exam conducted by the respective institutions.
*10 marks be calculated on the basis of marks obtained by the students in the Class Test / Unit Test / Annual Examination / Pre-Test / Assignment / Project Works etc. and attendance in the Academic Session 2019-2021.
*10 marks be allotted on the basis of consideration of the marks obtained by the students out of 90 (Ninety) in earlier 3 (Three) components and 10% of marks secured out of 90 be allotted accordingly.
(b)For assessment of students with non practical subjects (Arts / Commerce)
*50 marks calculated from 50 % of marks secured by the students in the best three of the subjects in the HSLC or equivalent examination.
*40 marks be calculated on the basis marks obtained by the students in the Class Test / Unit Test / Annual Examination / Pre-Test / Assignment / Project Works etc. and also attendance in the Academic Session 2019-2021.
*10 marks be allotted on the basis of consideration of the marks obtained by the students out of 90 (Ninety) in earlier 2 (Two) components and 10% of marks secured out of 90 be allotted accordingly.
(c) For Vocational Stream
*50 marks be calculated from 50 % of marks secured by the students in the best three of the subjects in the HSLC or equivalent examination.
*40% marks (Maximum) be calculated from the practical examination conducted by the institutions.
*10 marks be allotted on the basis of consideration of the marks obtained by the students out of 90 (Ninety) in earlier 2 (Two) components and 10% of marks secured out of 90 be allotted accordingly.
(2)For the NIP students :
(a) For the Betterment / Reappearance / Compartmental / Certain Subject candidates and
(b) For repeat (unsuccessful candidates) the following guidelines are to be followed:
(a.i) Betterment (Maximum in four subjects) : Enhancement of marks be done on the basis of marks obtained in the last HS Final Examination and marks be allotted as shown below...
10% for Third Division
7% for Second Division
5% for First Division.
(a.ii) Re-appearance (all subjects): Enhancement of marks be done on the basis of already obtained division such as 10% for Third Division 7% for Second Division and 5% for First Division.
(a.iii) Compartmental (in one subject): Enhancement of marks be done on the basis of marks obtained in previous examination as follows :
10% for those in the range of 150 to 224
7% for those in the range of 225 to 299
5% for those who secured 300 & above.
(a.iv) Certain Subject (in one subject):
10% for those in the range of 150 to 224
7% for those in the range of 225 to 299
5% for those who secured 300 & above.
(b) For repeat (unsuccessful candidate):
*50 marks be calculated from 50 % marks secured by the students in the best three subjects in the HSLC or equivalent examination.
*40% marks (Maximum) be calculated from the First Year Annual examination conducted by the institutions/AHSEC.
*10 marks be allotted on the basis of consideration of the marks obtained by the students out of 90 (Ninety) in earlier 2 (Two) components and 10% of marks out of 90 be allotted accordingly.
➤The Committee decides that the students who are dissatisfied with the assessment done by the Council this year (2021), should have an option for appearing in a special examination to be conducted by the Council whenever the situation becomes conducive for holding the examination. Moreover, the students’ performance in this examination will be assessed with existing norms of the Council.
➤The Committee resolves that the results to be declared maintaining the division obtained by the candidates as per usual norms. However, there should not be any provision of declaring of star holder / letter marks indication in the merit records. Further, the following recommendations are made in this regard
➤ There will be no declaration of merit rank for this year.
➤ There will be no declaration of securing highest mark in any subject.
➤ It is also recommended that there will be no provision for Re-Checking of Answers Scripts since there is no physical examination held this year.
➤ However, students’ grievance of any error(s) reported will be endorsed.
