The Ministry of HRD Govt. of India and the University Grants Commission (UGC) has taken a special Interest with regards promotion of the Higher Education in the North-East-State of India.
All the eligible candidates can apply through online for this scholarship scheme. Ishan-Uday Special Scholarship for NER, 2021
Scholarship Name: Ishan-UdayTotal No. of Scholarship: 10000 (For Ten Thousand Students of NER)

Objective of the Scholarship:
# To be provide for the equal opportunities to the higher studies in NE Region.
# Increase to the (GER) Gross Enrolment Ratio in NE Region.
# To focus more on the professional education in the NE Region.
# Optimum utilization of the NER Budgetary Allocation.
Scope
Ten thousand (10,000) fresh scholarships in the every year from beginning of the academic year is 2014-15 for general degree courses and the technical, professional courses, including medical and the paramedical courses as certified by the Principal/ Registrar/ College/ Director of University/ Institute.
# Students with domicile of North-East Region, whose parents annual income does not exceed Rs.4.5
lakhs per annum from the all sources.
# Passed 12th Class or equivalent in the preceding year of study.
# Students Secured admission in 1st year of any degree course, i.e. general degree course, technical/ professional/medical/ paramedical course (Integrated courses also included)
Exclusion
The following are not to be eligible under Ishan-Uday Scholarship scheme
1) Students pursuing courses or programs through the Open Universities.
2) Students already availing any other scholarship scheme in undergraduate level.
3) Students gaining the admission through „management quota‟.
4) Students pursuing the courses, such as the Diploma Courses, not leading to award a Degree.
5) Students whose parents‟ income (annual) exceeds Rs.4.5 lakh.
Amount of the Scholarship
Rs.5400/- per month for the general degree course and the Rs.7800/- per month for medical/technical/professional/paramedical courses.
Online Apply Procedure for Ishan-Uday Scholarship Scheme for NER
# Applications will be invited per year on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) of the
Govt. of India.
# At the time of the applying, for the course will be classified as general degree or the professional by
the concerned Institution/University/College.
# Incomplete applications will be rejected. Only verified online submitted applications
will be considered for the award of these scholarship.
