APSC MAINS EXAMINATION REVISED PAPER STRUCTURE | SYLLABUS| ADMIT CARD

 APSC  has published revised paper structure for main examinations. The details of the revised structure mentioned below. Regarding the structure and Papers of the Combined Competitive Examination (Mains), 2020 

As the new syllabus of the (CCE) Combined Competitive Examination (Mains), 2020 entails a significant change in terms of structure and papers from the earlier Combined Competitive Examinations, therefore, in order to guide the candidates in understanding the new pattern or syllabus and help prepare for the examination, the following information have been provided: The Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) (Mains) 2020 will consist of a written examination and an Interview/Personality Test. The written Examination will consist of 8 (eight) papers of conventional essay type in the subjects set out in part-B of the Syllabus of the Assam Public Services Combined Competitive Examination (Amendment) Rules, 2019. For more details in this regard, candidates may check the official website of APSC. Instead of the traditionally separate Question Papers and separate Answer Booklets, candidates will be provided with combined Question-cum-Answer Booklets (QCA). Space shall be provided in the Question cum Answer Booklets (QCA) for answering the questions. The Question paper in detachable form will be provided along with the QCA Booklet, which can be taken away by the candidate at the end of the Examination. No extra pages will be provided to the candidates.

1. Essay: Essay paper will consist of two Sections, each Section containing of 4 Essay topics, out of which the candidates will be required to write two essays (one from each Section). Each Essay will carry 125 marks. There will be A word limit and page limit for the essays. Total Marks: 250

2. General Studies-I, II, III and V: There will be a total of 20 (twenty) questions and all questions will be compulsory. 10 Questions will be of 10 marks and the remaining 10 Questions will be of 15 marks. There will be page limit for the answers. Total Marks: 250 x 4

3. General Studies-IV: There will be a total of 19 (nineteen) questions and all questions will be compulsory. 13 Questions will carry 10 marks and 6 Questions will be of 20 marks. There will be page limit for the answers. Total Marks: 250

4. Optional Paper-I & II: Optional Paper shall consist of two Sections. Each section will consist of 4 Questions. There will be 2 mandatory questions, one from each section. From the remaining 6 questions, the candidates will be required to attempt 3 questions, choosing at least one from each section. Thus out of a total of 8 questions candidate will have to attempt 5 questions. Total Marks: 250 x2

All Total Marks: 2000 (Two Thousand)
